Hi, I’m Chelsea.

& this is Colby & Oliver.

Originally from the south suburbs of Chicago, I have lived in Cedar Rapids for 10+ years. I love learning about & experiencing new things. I have held jobs in several different industries yet have decided to settle in the animal & veterinary fields. The human-animal bond is an incredible experience & I’m so grateful for it.

I also love building relationships. There is something unique about every single dog. Celebrating their quirks while teaching them about the world is what I love to do. I’m here to help you create a healthy relationship with your dog. Because once you have a healthy relationship with your dog, you are able to grow together!

I truly enjoy being outside - especially with my boys, Colby & Oliver! We frequent neighborhood walks, nature trails, road trips and even just laying around in the backyard.

My Approach

My teaching style is rooted in positive reinforcement & Fear Free techniques. I am a certified Fear Free Veterinary Professional and a recent graduate from CATCH Canine Trainers Academy. I believe if we meet our dogs needs - physical, social, mental, emotional, nutritional - we help them feel safe with us. Providing for their safety and building trust is an incredibly fulfilling way to bond with them. I can help you read their body language, guide them toward good choices and provide enriching activities. I do not endorse methods that cause physical or mental harm to your dog. The ultimate goal for both my human & canine clients is to learn and have fun! I bring a calm confidence to our training sessions, and focus on patience and compassion for everyone involved. I will provide you with the tools to maintain positive results well after our sessions are done. I will explain why certain exercises are beneficial to your training goals, provide guidance on how to teach your dog certain cues and answer questions as we go along. I look forward to hearing from you!
